Mathematical Finance Program Ranked in Top 25 in the Nation
UNC Charlotte’s Master of Science in Mathematical Finance program ranked No. 24 in the QuantNet 2015 Rankings of Best Financial Engineering Program. This is the second national ranking for the Mathematical Finance program, which currently enrolls more than 100 students.

Physics major Jennifer Kassel and mathematics and computer science major Jonathan Knighten have received two of the three National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships awarded to UNC Charlotte students for 2015. Both students have found opportunities to conduct hands-on research while also helping others through volunteerism focused on science and technology.

Chemistry’s Ogle Receives First Citizens Bank Scholars Medal
Craig Ogle, the Charles H. Stone Professor of Chemistry, is the 2014 recipient of the First Citizens Bank Scholars Medal. The prestigious award, presented by First Citizens Bank and UNC Charlotte, honors faculty scholarship and intellectual inquiry. Ogle has made an indelible impact on the field of organic chemistry.
