Building the next generation of scientific leaders

The Klein Scholars program is designed for students who are ready to lead, discover and make a difference, offering an opportunity for high-achieving students pursuing degrees in the UNC Charlotte Klein College of Science.

More than a scholarship, it is a community of emerging leaders, innovators and problem-solvers who are passionate about improving the world through science.

With comprehensive support, leadership development opportunities and enriching cohort experiences, Klein Scholars gain the tools, connections and confidence to excel in the classroom, serve the community and shape the future as the next generation of scientific leaders.

Launched in 2026, a new cohort of incoming freshmen will be selected annually. Klein Scholars will have the ability to renew the scholarship based on eligibility to support four years of in-state tuition and fees for an undergraduate degree.
