Botanical Gardens featured on ‘13 Hidden Gems in Charlotte’ list

The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens were featured on the list “13 Hidden Gems In Charlotte, NC That Locals Don’t Want You To Find” by Taking the Kids, a digital travel resource curated by Eileen Ogintz, a leading national travel expert.

As part of the Klein College of Science, the Botanical Gardens hosts three garden sites with sixteen collections, including rare titan arums, also known as corpse flowers.

The Botanical Gardens conducts regular plant sales, with the 2026 Spring Plant Sale coming up soon. Early access begins on Thursday, April 9, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for students, faculty, staff and Members of the Gardens. The plant sale will be open to the public on Friday, April 10, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, April 11, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
