Botanical Gardens featured by Charlotte on the Cheap

The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens were featured in Charlotte on the Cheap’s article “UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens — a hidden gem with a special area for kids to explore!”

Charlotte on the Cheap is a member of Living on the Cheap, a network of websites published by “frugalistas, journalists and consumer advocates.” Jody Mace, a local freelance writer, provides practical advice on saving money on groceries, travel and shopping in Charlotte.

“The gardens are a hidden gem in Charlotte. If you haven’t visited yet, make sure to make a point to do so soon! They are interesting and beautiful in every season,” said Mace. “If you have an interest in botany you’ll want to spend hours exploring every square inch of the Gardens. But you don’t have to be interested in plants to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Gardens.”

As part of the Klein College of Science, the Botanical Gardens hosts three garden sites with sixteen collections, including the rare titan arum, also known as a corpse flower.
